We've all heard the little nursery rhyme "sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me." Language is the most powerful tool humans have. It can be used for both good and bad. I don't necessarily agree with the rhyme though. I've been scared by hurtful words. Words can scar the soul. There are things embedded in my brain that people have said to me or about me. I think we all know how it feels to be teased or be the one doing the teasing. There is really nothing I can do to heal the scars that have been left by hurtful words that meanies have left behind. I don't care who you are, don't put some one down! If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all. If someone has the nerve to degrade you and make you feel small, return the favor by killing them with a smile. Honestly people....would it kill you to be nice for once? How would it make you feel to be picked on? Words are a weapon so chose your weapon closely.

I often find that I talk a lot and want to get into a habit of listening more. I end up getting into arguments and being agressive sometimes.
